Barbra Nyangairi is the Executive Director of DZT. She holds a Masters in Forced Migration, BSc in Public Administration & Diploma in Education. Barbra has written and conducted research on Deaf education, Access to Health for the Deaf & Sign language. Barbra has a keen interest in the empowerment of the Deaf and hard of hearing.She has experience in human rights, democracy, governance,elections, gender & education.

Perpetual Charuma has 9 years’ experience in Zimbabwe’s financial sector as a Banker and Finance Officer in the Non-profit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, A Masters in Strategic Planning and is studying for ACCA. At Deaf Zimbabwe Trust she is responsible for financial management and ensuring that all projects are implemented using sound financial practices according to DZT financial policies and procedures.

Paidamoyo Chimhini holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. As programmes manager, she is responsible for coordinating the organisation's projects across the various programming areas and ensures their alignment with the DZT's objectives. Since joining the organisation in 2015, Paida has gained experience in project implementation and management, advocacy, youth empowerment, research, psychosocial support, concept development and training.

Precious Nkomo promotes access to Sign Language for the Deaf through Sign Language training and interpretation services. She is proficient in Sign Language and has interpreted in public for a including church gatherings, national conferences and on national television. Precious has trained more than 2800 people in Sign Language including health care service providers, police officers and bankers. She has a Certificate in Advanced Sign Language and is studying towards a diploma in Interpretation and Translation Studies with University of Zimbabwe. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing.

Valentine Makubaza holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Banking and Finance from Bindura University. She joined DZT as an intern in 2017 and has been providing support to the finance and administration department since then.

Tsitsi holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Masters in Standardization, Social Regulation and Sustainable Development. She works on promoting the Right to Education for children with disabilities, particularly Deaf children. Tsitsi has experience in sustainable development, gender and HIV/AIDS.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Her work is centred on promoting equal access to Healthcare services, information and education for Deaf persons. She also coordinates in the sign language support development programme and is a qualified Sign Language Interpreter.

Michelle Mutogo holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. Before joining Deaf Zimbabwe Trust she worked in women's rights providing legal support to women in need. Since transitioning to disability rights, she has been instrumental in the establishment of DZT’s Disability Rights Law Centre and works to promote the rights of persons with disabilities through public policy analysis, strategic litigation, provision of legal aid and advocacy.

Isaacs holds a BA Law Degree and a Bachelor of Laws Degree both attained from the University of Pretoria. He is currently pursuing an LLM Degree from the same institution. He works to promote legal rights of Deaf and Persons with Disabilities in Zimbabwe through promoting equality and access to justice.

Merlen is an undergraduate of B.A Honors in Interpretation and Translation studies. She is currently the programs Assistant .Transformation and empowerment of Deaf and hard of hearing people for independent living through provision of education, changing societal attitudes through awareness raising and advocacy.

About DZT

Deaf Zimbabwe Trust was formed and registered as a trust in 2012 and began operations in 2013. Initially the organisation was formed to advance the rights of Deaf children.
